FRIDAY 4TH:
VARNRABLE
– is a Norway-raised, Copenhagen-based artist with Ethiopian roots. Signed on Copenhagen label Escho. Where she has released five singles and her first EP Hard Tech Soft Feelings. Her self-produced songs roam in the field of techno, soul and experimentalism, catchy and repetitive like a musical daughter of Tirzah and Laurie Anderson. Move and be moved, with addictive production and pared-down lyrics highlighting the connection between what you say and how you say it.

NADIA TEHRAN.
– grew up an atheist in a Muslim household, in a small Christian town of Jonkopping, Sweden. Her parents are Iranian immigrants, and her father served on the frontline of th Iran-Iraq war. Her family’s stories of the revolution have informed Tehran’s connection of art and activism. As both an artist and a citizen of the world, Nadia’s existence is multifaceted. She embodies numerous roles as a creator, including: poet, performer, rapper, singer, songwriter, filmproducer, video director, painter and art director. Tehran outputs not only through her music, but through every fibre of her being.
Her debut LP, Dozakh: All lovers Hell, a culmination of ten years of work, was released in 2019 on YEAR0001. The album was met with critical acclaim from NPR, Vogue, The Face, Complex, Pitchfork and Document Journal. Now based in Copenhagen, Tehran presents the expanded edition, a reimagining of her debut with new videos, remixes and demos, showcasing a variety of collaborations with members of Nadias inner circle, many of whom are also first generation Scandinavian and European immigrants.
