Kakao Intens release koncert & hang!

Kakao Intens is a newly formed, cross-scandinavian, improvisation trio, shaped through a shared infatuation with improvised music.

The group is releasing their debut-album, Sweet Science, on the 14th of june, on the label Movements Shaped Like a Heart. There´s going to be a celebration concert by the trio, followed by a great hang at Christianshavns Beboerhus.

Consisting of two electric guitars and drums, the music of Kakao Intens illustrates the intersection of sound-oriented exploration and dynamic musical interplay; intertwining extended instrumental praxis with a brash and insisting language.

Through detailed soundscapes, to references of noise and free jazz, their music embodies an expression that resists categorization of stylistic description; asserting Kakao Intens as a new voice in the improvised music scene.

The members are Halfdan Stefansson (DK), Simon Fikstvedt (NO) & Mikkel Wilstrup (DK).

The music is to be released physically on CD’s, which can be found at the scene on the 14th, and on streaming.
